A-MUZE-ING MOVIE ONE-LINERS TO BENEFIT WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT

Muze Clothing taps the creativity of the U.S. Armed Forces to raise monies for military service members wounded in the line of duty

(SCOTTSDALE, AZ., FEBRUARY 10, 2009) – Muze Clothing, the T-shirt company that celebrates the application of classic movie lines to real world scenarios, is continuing its commitment to helping worthwhile causes with its latest promotional venture “Muze for Our Warriors.” From now through April 1, 2009, men and women currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, and their supporters, are encouraged to submit their favorite movie one-liners along with a T-shirt design for their chance to win a trip for four to Los Angeles, California on May 16th 2009 for the official T-shirt launch party.

100% of the proceeds raised from the subsequent sale of the winning T-shirt will go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project, whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors.

“Supporting our troops is the number one priority of the entire Muze family,” said Bill Deacon, co-founder, Muze Clothing. “This campaign taps into the talents of our service men and women, challenging their creativity to come up with our next Muze T, while raising awareness and financial support for an incredibly worthy cause. We hope it will also serve as a poignant reminder of the incredible sacrifice our military men and women make every day for our country.”

The winning T-shirt will be selected from all eligible entries by a panel of celebrity judges. New judges will be announced on the Muze for Our Warriors Facebook page. The celebrity judges already announced are NHL All-Star Jeremy Roenick, CEO of Rotohog.com and former Apprentice winner Kelly Perdew, and MLB All-Star Mark Loretta. Current military service members, veterans of combat in Iraq or Afghanistan, service academy and contracted ROTC cadets and midshipmen are eligible to win via their own submission or a submission made on their behalf by a supporter. Submissions are currently being accepted through the Muze Clothing website at www.muzeclothing.com/warriors. In addition to attending the T-shirt launch party at a famous Los Angeles mansion, the grand prize winner will also have the opportunity to host the available celebrity judges for a day of training at the service member’s home base and will receive a T-shirt for every member of their platoon (or service equivalent unit).

“We are impressed and appreciate the dedication of the Muze family to supporting our troops going back to when founders Bill Deacon and Jeremy Roenick honored the troops at San Antonio’s Brooke Army Medical Center in 2007,” said Dana Spencley, Events Manager for Wounded Warrior Project. “We are grateful to Muze for donating the proceeds from the sale of Muze for Our Warriors T-shirts and hope this new partnership will help us draw needed attention to this extraordinary group of men and women who have served our country bravely and helped protect our ability to live freely.”

Lance Barrow, the coordinating producer of The NFL on CBS and of golf, had a bit part in “Tin Cup.” He said, “Like Leonardo DiCaprio after ‘Titanic,’ I felt a little burnt out on the movie industry. But right now I’m waiting for the right role.” As he waits, he guided CBS through the NFL playoffs and was named Abilene Christian University’s alumnus of the year. The multi-Emmy winner was a 1978 communications graduate and played football and baseball there. … Ryan Merriman, Aidan Quinn and Andie MacDowell will star in “The 5th Quarter,” a feature film set for May release about linebacker Jon Abbate, who led Wake Forest after the death of his 15-year-old brother.

Marc Pollick may not be a movie star, but he’s “in heaven” as his son Joel stars for the Wellesley High (Mass.) basketball team. The senior guard has led his Raiders to five straight wins. The Giving Back Fund president said, “I’m beaming.” … Kelly Perdew, CEO of sports fantasy site RotoHog.com and former “Apprentice” winner, married Dawn DuMont, an interactive advertising executive.
